Guided Nature Walks

Embark on a captivating journey of exploration and connection with our Guided Nature Hikes – a series of guided hikes led by Hays County Master Naturalists through the central Texas landscapes of Dripping Springs Ranch Park. Pre-registration is required. Click here to register!

  • Participants should dress for the weather, bring water, and wear sturdy hiking shoes. The terrain at Ranch Park ranges from rocky to smooth with minimal elevation changes.
  • Although we do not have age restrictions for the guided hikes, we ask that participants arrive with an eagerness to learn, absorb, and appreciate the natural world around them. Participants will meet your guide at the Ranch Park Bird Blind.

Feederwatch at Ranch Park

It's that time of year again to count all the different species of birds viewed in or near the bird blinds at either Dripping Springs Ranch Park or Charro Ranch Park both located in Dripping Springs. This citizen scientist data is collected from November 1st through April 30th annually. After submission to Cornell Lab Ornithology's Feeder Watch Program they will be able to track broad scale movements of winter bird populations and long-term trends in bird distribution and abundance. So come on out to hone your bird identification skills or simply to enjoy the areas wildlife. Beginners or experts are all welcome!

Feederwatch counts take place on Sundays and Mondays - click here to sign up for a timeslot.
